The Hotel On Place Vendome: Life, Death, and Betrayal at the Hotel Ritz in Paris - Tilar J. Mazzeo

As I have said before, I would have wished for a bit more of historical depth in this book and a little less gossip (there was just too much for of the Ernest Hemingway/Martha Gellhorn/Mary Welsh and Martha Gellhorn/Marlene Dittrich drama for my liking).

But overall I enjoyed reading this book and it was fascinating to learn about the Hotel, its customers and its staff and their place in history before and during WWII. And as BT has said on another post of mine, reading this book makes you want to look up and learn more about the key players of this story.
