10 year old Lewis has to live with his uncle Jonathan after his parents has died. What Lewis doesn´t know is that his uncle is a wizard and that something sinister is going on in the walls of their house. What is the big secret behind the constantly ticking clock behind the walls?
The House With a Clock in Its Walls is a charming little read and I would have loved it as a child, I have no doubt about it. It´s a spooky and mysterious adventure with great (and eccentric) characters. And I especially enjoyed that the unpopular, overweight boy, who has no friends, is the one who tries to save the day.
