Review
Since this a fictional account of the Lizzie Borden murders, I was prepared for violence and gore. But I wasn´t prepared for it being such a disgusting read. And it´s not the descriptions of all the blood and the crushed skulls that makes this novel disgusting, it´s the characters themselves that grossed me out (specifically the character of Lizzie and (fictional) Benjamin). I actually felt grimy after reading certain chapters of this book and overall it hasn´t been a pleasant book to read (at least for me).
This book takes place in the year 1892 and is set in the time of Queen Victoria´s reign.
