... says the German soldier, who has an abysmal grasp of his own language. My guess is that Claire Evans intended sentence has been "Drop your weapons! You are overpowered" (or something to that effect). Just for the heck of it I put this sentence through the Google translator and even the translator does a better job than Claire Evans:
Honestly, in the age of social media, emails and the telephone, it shouldn´t be that hard to translate the only German sentence in your book correctly.
