BrokenTune and I are starting our much anticipated Highsmith buddy read today and I´m so excited. And Highsmith certainly knows how to make her characters not seem quite right in the head, the book starting off with this sentence:
Vic didn´t dance, but not for the reasons that most men who don´t dance give to themselves. He didn´t dance simply because his wife liked to dance.
I told you, BT, I think we are going to be in for a treat :).
My original plan was to read this for the Terrifying Women square, but since I did make an awful lot of changes in my reading plans and I already have claimed that square, I´m reading this for Terror in a Small Town instead.
