Task 1: “Africa” was originally the name of the Roman province originating from the North African empire of Carthage, which was mythologically founded by Queen Dido and blossomed into Ancient Rome’s only lasting opponent and nemesis (until it was finally conquered by Rome in the Punic Wars). So: who are your five favorite book heroes and their respective nemesis?

There are so many great posts for this task already, so I picked a few not so obvious choices:

1) Harry Potter vs. Lord Voldemort

I had to include at least one obvious choice, though ;).

2) The Meg and the Great White Shark vs. stupidity a.k.a the humans in the story

In my book, the sharks are the heroes and I´m still waiting for a story, in which the sharks finally are going to eat all of them.

3) Harry Bosch vs. everyone else in LA

Authority, the Los Angeles Police Department, Irvin Irving, the FBI, Internal Affairs. Pick one as a nemesis. Bosch doesn´t have a whole lot of friends and I think he is okay with it.

4) Charlie Parker vs. Mr Pudd and Reverend Aaron Fualkner

Both of them are amongst the most vile villians in literature.

5) The Loser´s Club vs. Pennywise the Clown (and all the other evil things that lurks in Derry, Maine)

Pennywise is the epitome of a freaking scary clown.
