Task 1: Your 2019 Book Goals: what are they?
I don´t have specific goals when it comes to the books that I want to read in 2019. I want to put a huge dent in my Christie collection, I would like to read more of the various golden mystery that are out there and I want to continue on with the Charlie Parker and Harry Bosch series. But I´m not putting any pressure on myself, if I´m not able to do that.
When it comes to my book buying, I want to make some adjustement. I´m not going to buy anymore new releases, because most of these books I don´t even like when I´m coming around reading them. Instead I´m getting these books from the library, should I feel the need to read them. However, I´m allowing myself to buy books for my ongoing series and said golden age mysteries, because my library doesn´t have those books.
And I want to cull my bookshelves. I started quite a few of the books on my shelf and then droppen them after a chapter or two, because they didn´t hold my interest at the time. And I know that some of these won´t hold my interest the second time around. These books are going of to charity.
Task 2: 2018 Reading Year in Review. Tell us about your year in books: happy? disappointed?
Overall I´m happy with my reading year. I´m finishing up Heroes and then I will have read 97 books in total. Considering that I had two reading slumps, this isn´t too bad, I think.
Me writing reviews is a whole other story ... There is room for improvement when it comes to writing reviews.
