The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - Taylor Jenkins Reid

I have the psychical copy of The Seven Husband of Evelyn Hugo on my shelf, but I´m listening to the audiobook instead (the audiobook is really good, btw). Tbh, I´m sure I would have DNF´d the physical copy at this point.

Just think of every possible trope that you can come up with in regards to a big hollywood movie star in the 1950s and 1960s. Yep, that´s what you get in this book. To be perfectly clear, reading the IMDB trivia page of Joan Fontaine, Olivia de Haveland or Laurence Olivier is more interesting than reading Evelyn´s story. That might tell you what I think of the story.

What makes me laugh, though, is that the movie star, Evelyn Hugo, tells her story to a journalist, who is allowed to publish her authorized memoir as soon as she is dead (it´s the same premise as in The Thirteenth Tale). Chances are good that dear old Evelyn is kicking the bucket very soon.
