Lady Audley's Secret - Mary Elizabeth Braddon

I thought I had a clear-cut idea where this story was heading. Turns out I was wrong, because I didn´t expect that to happen. 

 

This story is actually darker than I expected and Victorian readers must have been quite shocked while reading it. I´m really loving it so far.
