I´m sorry, but there is something fishy about the dashing male love interest. He is a little bit too dashing and courteous, I don´t trust him. I sincerely hope that Emma ends up with the poor bloke, who still is the prime suspects for the murder. As you might tell, I don´t know who Emma is ending up with in the end.
And yes, I know it´s a historical mystery novel, so maybe I should write something about those aspects of the novel (excellent in both regards, btw).
But I simply adore the starcrossed lovers theme that Ellis Peters uses in her Cadfael novels, so get used to hear me gushing about it whenever I read one of her books.
