BT and I are doing an impromptu buddy read for this book, and I think we are both not sure whether or not we are going to like this book.
I sincerely hope that Maisie isn´t one of those Mary Sue like characters. This little bit of information on the very first page of the book doesn´t bode well in that respect:
The newspaper vendor looked up slowly, straight into eyes the colour of midnight in summer, an intense shade that seemed to him to be darker than blue.
Yeah, I get it. She has special eyes.
