So far I´m really enjoying this book. As with every other MacInnes I was at first puzzled about the time this book is set in, but after having looked up the date of the first publication and the Baader-Meinhof-complex got mentioned, this must be set in the late 1970s / early 1980s. And you can tell this from MacInnes´ writing style as well. I´m not struggling with it as much as I did with her earlier books.
The only thing I´m not so sure about is the male gaze that is going on in the story. So far these two college girls are either described as being utterly beautiful, possible love interests or being sligthly dumb.
Book: Read a book about light, miracles, featuring Jewish characters, set in Israel, that is the second book in a series, with the word “two” in the title, or with a light on the cover.
