The Hidden Target - Helen MacInnes

"Extradited - for what? For spying? Was that what they were - agents?" She remembered a courtyard near Tabriz, the voices in German, and Pierre listening ... "Against whom?" Her hand had tightened under his. Her voice had risen.

"Against most of the world, " Renwick said very quietly.

Well ... okay then. Apparently, not even the god guys know what the bad guys are doing.

And on another note: the love story is one of the most badly written ones I have ever laid my eyes on. Seriously, these characters have no chemistry at all and I find it rather laughable and pathetic that MacInnes felt the need to shoehorn this relationship into the story.

And don´t get me started on Nina being in this story in the first place. I honestly don´t know why she is in this story (besides being annoying as heck). She doesn´t serve any kind of purpose at all and I would say that this story would have worked pretty well without her. I´m still not sure why the terrorists needed her in the first place and I´m curious if this piece of information gets disclosed towards the end of the book.
