I´m still enjoying this, especially the slow reveal of background information about the characters and the explanations of the amazing magical system. And Sanderson knows how to increase the tension in a heartbeat, which makes the action packed scenes even more exciting to read.
But then there´s Vin, the female main character, and all the chapters with her (potential?) love interest and what she is doing in those chapters. I have a hard time with this part of the story, mainly because there is a slight hint of insta-love in regards to their relationship and I feel like Vin and the guy both are loosing some of their brain cells while being with each other.
Book: Read a book featuring a strong female character (or characters), by an author from any minority group, a story about a minority overcoming their oppressors, or revolving around the rights of others either being defended or abused, a book set in New York City, or a book originally written in a language other than English and / or your mother tongue or by anyone not Anglo-Saxon.
